So verlor ich mein Unternehmen und alle meine Kunden. 😱

Schuld daran? Du wirst es nicht glauben.

Ich war am Ende. Hatte einen Plan, hatte Kunden. Aber eines fehlte: Mein Facebook-Konto.

"Du hast dich nicht geschützt", könnte man sagen. Passwort online gespeichert? Phishing-Mails angeklickt?

Wäre es doch nur so einfach. Ich wechsle regelmäßig Passwörter. Nutze 2-Faktor-Authentifizierung. Bei Facebook zahlte ich sogar für den blauen Haken. Der heißt jetzt Meta Verified Profile und bietet Folgendes:

Verbesserte Kontosicherheit, z. B. durch proaktive Sicherheitsmaßnahmen gegen Nachahmung dank Überwachung deines Kontos. Support-Möglichkeiten für gängige Probleme mit Konten.

Klingt großartig, oder? Falsch. Mein Konto ist weg. Kein Zugriff. Keine Rückgewinnung. Keine Hilfe von Meta.

Meta-Ads? Aktuell? Eine Bearbeitung meiner Anfrage? Erst in sechs Monaten! Und das ist keine Ausnahme. Große Accounts, die ich kenne, standen auch drei bis sechs Monate ohne Zugriff da. Es ist ein Albtraum, der jederzeit Wirklichkeit werden kann. Nicht nur auf Facebook oder Instagram. Sondern auf jeder Plattform. LinkedIn, TikTok, du nennst es. Stell dir vor, du wachst eines Tages auf und hast keinen Zugriff mehr.

Viele sagen: "Ja, E-Mail-Liste, sollte ich mal machen." Aber sie sind zu beschäftigt, mit LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok. 📧

Meine Antwort: Es ist dein verdammtes Unternehmen. Deine Kontakte. Lässt du sie auf einer anderen Plattform liegen, ist es, als würdest du dein Passwort im Internet ablegen. Jeder Kontakt hat einen Wert. Der gehört in dein Unternehmen.

Edison's Batterie schaffte 1000 Meilen - und das im Jahr 1910! Hier seine vergessene Revolution.

Bevor die Elektromobilität über 100 Jahre später vor dem Durchbruch steht, hatte Thomas Edison die Vorteile schon längst verstanden. Offenbar setzte er auf den Elektroantrieb, weil seine Frau den Gestank der Verbrenner nicht mochte.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 1898. Edison entwickelt eine langlebige Batterie - perfekt für Züge und den industriellen Einsatz. Doch damit gab er sich nicht zufrieden. Er wollte die Batterie ins Auto bringen.

Er war gut vernetzt mit Autopionier Henry Ford, der wollte aber vom Elektroantireb nichts wissen. Edisons Batterien gingen daher an die S.R. Bailey & Co., die den innovativen Bailey Electric Phaeton bauten – mit einer Reichweite, die damals alle umhaute: 100 Meilen ohne Nachladen!

1910 dann die Kür: Eine 1000-Meilen-Challenge. Mit Edison's Batterie zeigten Bailey und er, dass Elektroautos nicht nur leise und sauber, sondern auch langstreckentauglich waren - ein echter Gamechanger zu dieser Zeit.

Die New York Times war baff: "Unsichtbare Kraft, gespeichert in kleinen Batterien". Aber trotz dieser positiven Schlagzeilen und des vermeintlichen Erfolgs blieb der grosse Durchbruch aus.

Henry Ford hatte mit seiner Produktionsmethode, dem Fliessband, die besseren Karten. Obwohl Mrs. Edison nicht die Einzige war, die sich über den Gestank ärgerte. Und so übernahmen die Benziner mit all ihren Nachteilen. Die Elektroära endete - vorerst.

Die Moral von der Geschichte? Eine Innovation alleine garantiert keinen Erfolg. Für einen Durchbruch braucht es die Technologie selbst, die richtigen Rahmenbedingungen und den Willen, etwas zu ändern. Dies ist heute gegeben.

Die Grundlagen für die heutige Elektromobilität: Edison hat es vorgemacht.

Seit dieser Woche bin ich wieder in Therapie.

Daran, dass es so weit gekommen ist, ist teilweise LinkedIn Schuld.

Einige von euch haben Ende letzten Jahres meinen Post über Depressionen gelesen.

Aber mit einem Post und der Erkenntnis ist es eben nicht getan.

Weil mir meine Gesundheit wichtig ist und ich bereits eine Therapeutin gefunden habe, bei der ich mich jederzeit melden kann, nahm ich also schnell Kontakt auf und hatte diese Woche bereits meine erste Sitzung.

Was ich schon vorher vermutet habe, hat sich in der Sitzung relativ schnell bestätigt.

Meine Symptome hören sich zwar nach Depressionen an, sind aber in meinem Kontext gelesen Anzeichen für etwas anderes:

Burnout.

Mein Problem?

Meine Wertvorstellungen waren zahlenfixiert.

Erfolg hieß: Mehr Kunden, Geld, Projekte, Beiträge. Mein Fortschritt wurde in Zahlen gemessen.

Das Ziel jetzt:

Neu definieren, was beruflicher Erfolg für mich bedeutet – jenseits der Zahlen.

Keine Sorge, ich werd' euch nicht mit Updates überschwemmen.

Aber sobald ich eine bedeutende Erkenntnis habe, teile ich sie.

Manchmal ist weniger eben mehr.

Nicht nach Likes, sondern nach echtem Wert streben.
